Diaries (2026 – )
In this series, I use the process of collage as a means of exploring complicated emotions and navigating difficult memories as I reevaluate my identity at this new stage of life: I am approaching my thirtieth birthday, and I have divorced my husband after eight years of marriage. Through everything, I am considering and reconsidering my relationship with myself, my womanhood, my body. I am confronting the lessons I need to learn and unlearn about love, romance, and femininity. Collage is the ideal vehicle for these meditations that I cannot always put into words; I put them together through a process guided by stream-of-consciousness, from images drawn from art history, pop culture, social media, and my own photography. The stories they tell are my own–personal and difficult to articulate–but through the ubiquity of the media referenced, they contain touchstones for viewers to use as the building blocks for their own interpretations, cultivated by their individual experiences.
